View Full Version : Forum software
This forum is a great resource and I am glad that Shopbot has it for their customers. Reading through the posts helped me to decide to go with Shopbot for my CNC needs 3 years ago - and buying a Shopbot (vs another brand) was definaltey the right choice.
But I've got to ask - what is the possibility of upgrading the forum software to something more user friendly - like vbulletin or something? I know I do more reading than posting - but I bet the community here would grow (and share more good info) if things could be changed.
Thoughts?

Hey guys, I use this "phpbb", its incredibly friendly, incredibly fast. You can set it up to do almost anything. One of my favorite features is auto thumb nailing. You can upload a pic or file, almost any size and it will thumbnail the picture so that the thread loads fast and if you want to see picture in its original size just click on it.
Very versatile software. And with todays unlimited bandwidth and unlimited storage on 90% of all web servers its an excellent choice!
And its free!

Gary, I saw that post right after I submitted mine - and immediately remembered having already read it! - oh well.
That has been a while, though.

What seems like 10 months to us may be only a few minutes in ShopBot years! LOL

Does anyone know how the conversion to the VBulletin forum software is coming? Does anyone know what the current estimate is as to when the VBulletin conversion will be completed?
Many thanks!
