I am going to be cutting some aluminum with an "Amana O" aluminum cutting bit. Should I climb cut or conventional cut with this bit?

Thanks

I just used that bit to cut some 1/8" aluminum mounting panels. It worked great.

BTW-George, Have you heard from your buddy Josh lately? If you do, tell him I am still looking for the refund for the spindle he never sent me.

USE CLIMB MILLING ALSO SEARCH CUTTING ALUMINUM
I USE ONSRUD 2 SIDED 0 FLUTE BIT - YOU MUST USE LUBRACATION - I USE 75% ALCHOL 25% WATER + A FEW DROPS OF DISHSOAP

Stan,
Did you climb cut with the bit?

As far as Josh, I would not say we are buddies as I only know him through emails. He did do some designs for me of which I am working on now. I have not heard from him in quite some time and if everything that has been said about him is true I really do not want to. If I do hear from him though I will relay the message.

Thanks

I was just speaking to a machinist about this the other day. He said conventional cut in aluminum to reduce chip welding.
