Hello, I've been searching the archives and have been unable to find a source for wood clock plans that I can use as a classroom project for my students this fall. It seems most of the plans available are meant to be glued to the board and scrolled out, but I need something with actual dimensions that I can draw in AutoCAD. I remember years ago that Popular Mechanics had an article on building a medieval wall clock with wooden gears, but I have not been able to locate that article. Any ideas, I don't mind paying for the plans but I need the right set. Thanks

I was perusing on phlatforum.com and saw a PDF of clock plans there that are free for personal use. But they are not ready to cut either.
If you get one generated (or DXFs) I would be interested

Guys,
If you'll use the Google search engine for this site you'll find stuff like the following;

I bought a set of plans from this fellow in Hawaii. http://www.lisaboyer.com/Claytonsite/Claytonsite1.htm
They seemed expensive ($33 for one set) and I received them on several sheets of 8-1/2" x 11" paper, but they did the job and I could have taken the time to "vectorize" them. I didn't. He might offer you some discount since you are in education.
Good Luck,
Ronco
I once thought about making a line of wooden gear clocks so did some research.
Here are more links that look promising:
