I do make laminated commercial counters, tables, and work desks with my bot. I am not a traditional, dedicated cabinet maker.

As an example, using the individual wall hung cabinet pictured in this link... http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/show.cgi?tpc=41980&post=102095#POST102095

I assume the bot is a great tool for the cabinet carcass, top, bottom, sides. Also for the decorative door panel and even custom extruded crown profiles. My question is it practical to use the bot for door rails and stiles? Cabinet face frames? Or are these items best still left to the use of a table saw and a shaper?

Thanks.

My opinion is NO.

I would not spend the time making something on the Bot that is faster for a shaper to do. Just the holding jig setup would deter me.

Now if you have carvings to do in these items I would do that after I ran them through the shaper.
I hate changing bits.

The bot and ccp are great for the carcases , for the ff i use a 4 side molder to square the stock , a radial arm with a tiger stop co cut the pieces and a kregg pocket hole machine with a ff table for assembly . For doors i use a weaver 3 shaper system and all goes smoothly.
Ditto on the two above post
