After 4g upgade

After I put the 4g upgrade on my prt, will the toolpaths still run fine on it? I noticed in the vectric program I am running that spb alpha is an option of saving toolpats. Is that the right one to use?

Ken,
Existing toolpaths will run just fine. New toolpaths created should be saved out as a regular ShopBot_Inch or ShopBot_Arcs_Inch. The 'Alpha' post processors include output commands to turn on a spindle. Unless you have a relay board installed to turn on your router or spindle, then just use the regular posts. Otherwise you will get a 'nag' msgbox popping up to tell you to turn on the spindle.
