Demo sign for sign shops

I want to get some business from them and I am working on some signs. these will be beech. unpainted as I can't paint so I offer only cut services. here is my first one

Did you cut this yet? I'm interested to see how the graphics will come out. Please post a picture when you get it done.

not yet. some comments offlist was to make the text more fancy. but I was thinking a second sign with cool fonts and info on what I could do.
I figure some sanding to clean things up. it is hard to get bi9ts in the tight graphics.

Hey Steve, I like the newest one, a few questions, what software did you use to create the file, and how did you lay out the texturing?

I used vcarve I just used a file I found for the flowers. I am not that skilled to draw such things out. the texture was not hard I just did a offset on everything and played around with it. this next one took a lot of node editing to get the offset all locked together.

Absolutely nothing wrong with "just used a file I found for ..." Your skills include knowing where to find an appropriate file, how to bring it into your software, place it, size it, toolpath it, cut it, etc., etc., etc.

Nice work. Thanks for sharing!

Now, go get those sign contractors!

PS: You might consider visiting them in person, and taking them a small "gift" for them to keep. Perhaps a small carved sign with *their* company name on the front, and your business card stapled to the back? A quick and easy V-carved sign might just help them remember you the next time they need a carved sign. Just a thought... CK
