Hi Dave, give me a call when you have a moment to discuss. We have been implementing for 3 months and learn something new everyday.
Are you using it or considering it?
I find the router cad folks to be easy to work with but very busy so scheduling training on line is simply a scheduling issue one needs to be aware of. They are not "available on call" in tech support but do get it done when you schedule time for online training or phone support. My only complaint is they are too busy sometimes and could use more resources in tech support.
Good news is it does efficiently organize, tool path, and nest pretty nicely but some of the parametric design input can get a bit confusing and time consuming. We just learned yesterday how to use cad files rather than the parametric designs and get them to nest and output a tool path.
Overall like any software (we have a junior version without the full blown enroute program)it takes time to learn and explore features to determine which techniques work best for specific uses and results but the redeeming features of auto nesting and tool pathing have proven useful to us.
We do cut all cabinet parts with a single 5mm bit so that does help make a simple orderly tool path with no tool change interruptions. Not sure what we would need to do it we used multiple bits without a tool changer.
