How do you know what bits to use for removal, finishing work for 2D and 3D woodworking.

Can you tell us more about your materials (hardwood, plywood, softwood, MFD, plastic, metal, stone) and application (cabinets, signs, plaques, boats, toys, art work, architectural restorations, manufacturing components, musical instruments, etc.)?

There are lots of choices and some very specialized tools available.
