I just got my new bt48 and noticed that there is a missing star head screw that holds the track for the table down. I noticed that the hole does not line up with the mount for the track. I tried to take one of the other screws to see if I could get it to go in the hole where the missing screw was and I couldn't get it to thread in. It seems as if who ever put this unit together had the same problem and decided it would be ok with out the last screw that holds that track down. Frustrating after a 6 week wait.

Erik, shopbot support will help you. Call in and ask. Understand your frustration, but all in all 6 weeks is not really to bad given the popularity and quality of the tools. I'm sure it was a simple mistake that is easily corrected.

Thinking I can just get the screw locally. The problem being the two holes are slightly off center. I'm hoping it will just be a matter of loosening all the other screws so I can get the last one in. Shopbot already told me if this doesn't work they will send me a new aluminum bar that the track bolts to. Most likely I could just leave it the way it is and everything would work out fine...it just will bother me forever knowing that screw is missing. I should just leave well enough alone...but its not my nature.

If you take a pic, I might be able to advise you on what to do. I have a BT48 sitting here.

They are sending me a new bar with the rail on it...but I will try and get a picture up. I got the correct screw and tried loosening all the other torx that hold down the hardened rail...I couldn't get it to move enough to get the screw to thread in straight. Or...it was cross threaded when at the factory.
