Vertical Lathe

I cut alot of parts that are circular plugs with a shaped top. As compared to milling 3D circles, I was wondering if anyone has made a vertical lathe setup using their bot. Basically a motorized rotary table with it's face pointing up towards Z.

I did that playing around about 3 1/2 years ago when I was just trying things out
I never tied it in to the control unit, I used an external servo motor and drive and wrote programs on an independent computer but it did alot of cool stuff
It can be done
