My granddaughters asked today if i could build them a doll house. Does anyone know of any plans/files available anywhere to make a dollhouse probably 3 ft tall or so? I have no idea where to start in terms of scale, size, ect. They have those dolls called "Bratz" so i guess i should start from there. Has anyone ever cut a dollhouse on a shopbot? Any tips or links or files would be appreciated. I played with dolls as a kid, but that was G.I.JOE he was about 11" tall and he was cool. We had some great army battles! but i digress...

As the dad of two little girls, I'll say thats a great idea. I think that I could modify some real full size .dxf's by deleting all the unnecessary stuff or at least use them as a reference for drawing new panels, but that sounds like work. I'd love to find some cut files too.

I built a basic doll house for a customer I built a real house for. Her hobby is doll houses. This is a real simple one, but when she got done with the painting and all the fancy trim it turned out very nice. I hope this file opens ok for you.

If your looking for something detailed check out the doll house plans at Laserbuzz. These are vector files made to be cut on a laser engraver but the plans could be altered a bit for the ShopBot I guess.

Dirk,
Thanks, that will give me a basis at which to start.
Keith, I think ed has made one like that, i love the detail but it i'm not sure how you could adapt that plan for shopbot as it looks as most of the detail is burned on with the laser.
Keep the ideas coming!
