Does anyone make corbels and columns with the indexer?

Magic,
I made these columns and tops on my indexer, but the corbels I did using a three sided machining method. They could have been made on the indexer by simply rotating them 90 degrees, but I thought you would get too much play and vibration doing it that way.

James,
The top of the columns were done in Artcam Pro 2008. The main columns and flutes were done with the Shopbot indexer software. I will try to get a full sized picture of the whole project.
Thanks for the compliments!

Many of you might not know that Dirk and I live about 5 miles apart and I have learned so much from him. I got to see this in process and the finished products. Trust me when I say they are beutiful.
Dirk,
I think it might be worth some time to talk about the actual corbels too. THere was a comment above that this is "work from two hundred yeas ago". They aren't that far off. I think the whole mold, scan, design, cut, clean up process would be good to cover here as well.
Care to eloborate on that stuff too.
