Has anyone used a student version of AutoCAD (.dxf) to import to PartWizard? I am currently taking a basic level AutoCAD course and plan to take the advanced one after. This will coincide with my purchasing of a shop bot. My understanding is the student version is the same as the full blown version except for the “produced by a student AutoCAD version watermark” on all the plots. Any help is appreciated. Thanks for the responses to my other post. I am not using this in a commercial setting!

Todd,

We do it all of the time with no problems. To import into ArtCam, we "export to autocad" and back save it as a 2000 dxf.

Todd, you may have an issue with importing splines. I know I did. The splines would not import from the dxf. To fix it, save it in Autocad version 12 or so which did not support splines.
