2 days ago, I got under my table and made all my wiring neater by using nylon ties to keep them (mostly) off of the floor. When I did this, I bound some wires together that were previously separated.

After doing that, I keep getting erroneous "Limit Switch Hit" messages with the "Pause, Continue, and Quit" buttons. When this happens, my limit switches are nowhere near the bolts on the aluminum extrusions that are set to trigger them.

Any ideas on how I can keep my wiring neat and get rid of these bogus errors?

Thanks!

Charlie: Call shopbot & talk to Frank ASAP. You may be having a similar issue to mine with my new Alpha tool and SB is aware of a problem and developing a solution.

This is a timely thread, guys. My new 'bot displays the limit switch error msg every time I begin a cut or jog. So far I have simply clicked the Resume button to ignore the msg, but I have it on my list of things to address. Thanks! Stan

Charlie...
You may loop the extra stepper wires. Do not make neat tight loops. Keep loops separated from each other. Do not loop the prox wires. You might try slightly twisting the 2 prox wires, but in any case, keep them at least 6 inches from the stepper wiring and/or the spindle/router wires.

I am just getting ready to rewire using shielded twisted pairs to try and eliminate the erroneous stop hits.
