I got a big problem and I need some help guys.

I created 92 toolpaths, then found that I used the wrong Z depth. 5MM instead of 6MM.
My question is, after zeroing can I move the Z to -1.0MM then zero ZZ, then move z back to the setting I got when I used the ZZero routine? I am cutting 17 sheets in one master file.

thanks in advance

you can use notepad to change your depths in about a second. email me

Like Jimmy said, you can use the find and replace function in the file editor or you can (after zeroing) set to relative move, move -1.0mm, then set back to absolute move and use VA to set the z value back to what it was after your initial zeroing.

I'd go the find and replace route. The less complicated the better.

Another option is to change the XYZ proportions to 1.0,1.0,1.2 This should increase the Z depth to 6mm

Gerald, now that will work, but the X proportion is 1.010
Just tested it

Thanks

I do this in many of my programs. I initially zero on my jigs, if I need to offset or have a need for a different zero I will MZ to that position then ZZ, if I then need the Z to a new or the original Z, then I MZ to that position and ZZ.

I forgot to add, I insert these commands into the program so each run will provide the identical results. Call if I can help further. 419-877-5557
