How do I get the MS comand to populate in the .sbp file. When I create a .sbp it has MS 0.0,0.0. Is there someplace to input a parameter? I have been editing the .sbp by hand.

Thanks,

Todd

Todd...

MS command parameters as follows: MS,{xy-Speed, z-Speed, a-Speed, b-Speed}
you dont need to enter a value, but must have the commas to separate if parameter is other than XY.

Gary,
I have the move speeds set in the Shopbot control window,however when I create the .sbp file it sets them to MS 0.0,0.0. Is there a way to have it keep the parameters that are in the window?

Thanks,

Todd

How are you generating your toolpath files? If you are using PartWorks you have to set the feed and plunge speeds for the tool you selected before you calculate the toolpath.

David,
I am generating the toolpath file using partwizard. The feed and plunge speeds are set in the tools setup but do not come through when I generate the .sbp.

Todd...
As David says... you must make the settings when you toolpath. Make sure that inches/second is selected rather than inches/minute. That is the most likely reason you are getting zeros.

Gary,
I believe they are set to inches/minute. I will check in the A.M.

Thanks everyone for the help.
