I got my diverter today along with my replacement dust skirt.

The diverter is held on by a hose clamp. The hose clamp is tucked down into the sides of the diverter and the plastic gaurds the hode clamp screw from being used.

How do you tighten the hose clamp? Why would you not make the tabs a little longer than the outside diverter so the clamp would be much easier to tighten?

Seems like I am missing something here?

Dave, the hose clamp should not be pushed down to the bottom of the tabs. The top edge of the hose clamp should be just slightly higher than the top of the tabs.
There were some design and manufacturing considerations that caused the tabs to be the length that they are. This is currently being addressed in a redesign.

Thanks for the update. I did get the clamp to go on as I had raised it just enough to get to the clamp to tighten. I have not tested it yet but it is in place. Seems like the diverter will effect tightening the bit also. I realize it can get tight, but did not expect anything like it is when I read the posts about the diverter.

Thanks,
