Shopbot Settings?

I just got my bot all set up and have been jogging it around abit.

If I give it a jog or move command of say 48 inches. It says it moves 48 inches on the screen but if you actually measure it with a tape measure it moves 59 inches.

Is there some calibration that I need to do?

It is a PRT standard by the way.

Did you run the Shopbot Setup routine (found in the Tools menu? Sounds like maybe your Unit Values are incorrect for your particular machine.

This is exactly the thing your other example shows. You need to set your unit values for your machine, call shopbot and they can walk you through it.

Check out "Table Base Coordinates" dated October 2004 in "Bill's Corner" found on Shopbot Home page.

I found this information very useful when I initially setup my PRT Alpha.

Well I got this figured out finally. Thanks for all the help. It was the unit values.
