Just got an air drill for PRS Alpha. My software is Part Wizard. Is this going to be an issue running the drill?
Thanks, Dave

David..
I wrote a new version of the "C8" file that uses the OEM system variables to allow you to use your drill with Part Wizard.
You will have to add a line to your "my_variables" file. That line is: "&my_holedepth = 0"
You will have to run the "drill offset" file by its included instructions.
You will have select tool number 2 (or 3 if second drill) when toolpathing with the "ShopBot Inch Drill" post processor
You need to have a separate file for each drilling depth, OR edit file by entering "&my_holedepth = (desired drilling depth)" prior to each depth change. If toolpathed separately, the first time in each file the "C8" is run, it will ask you for a drilling depth. You can enter it as a positive or negative number.
If you use the same file often, you can enter "&my_holedepth = (desired drilling depth)" in the file anywhere after the "C#,90" line.
These are the instructions for use. I have the file on my shop computer and will email it to you tomorrow, if you email me with any questions that you have on the instructions above.
islaww(at)comcast(dot)net put "shopbot" in the subject line to get thru the spam filter.
