I have a PRS Alpha with the extruded aluminum X rails (they seem to be 40mm x 160MM) and I'm looking for a source for the nuts that fit in the channels. They would be the same as those used to attach the leg bolts to the extrusion.

Can anyone help?

You should be able to buy these directly from ShopBot.

I believe that Tom is asking about Tee-nuts that slide into the AL extrusions. I'll recommend again that you get them from SB directly. Some are metric, others are standard depending on what components are getting bolted up and when your machine was built. Make sure you get the correct ones to eliminate down time or frustration. If you can find the correct nuts locally, then go for it.

That's great, Frank. Please list the Fastenal part number so that others don't have to go thru the arduous task of explaining what they need to Fastenal reps...

Thanks!

Also, you go to there website and use the contact us e-mail.

And you can just say I have a SHOPBOT XYZ model and I need PDQ part. They will know what you need as they know what SB buys and use's for what machines.

Fastenal is a first class operation.

Maybe Fastenal in your area is good. The local store here is a pain to get anything out of. Every time I go there I wonder how they stay in business. I usually have to buy a bag of 25 of something that I need 2 of. The guy that works the counter there always acts like I am putting him out by asking a question. Snooty and difficult.

Just my observations from my local store. I would just buy the parts from Shopbot and let them deal with the headache of trying to pry a nut out of Fastenals hands.
