Snapped some pics of the finished result of the first commercial job involving our PRS Alpha 120-60-14.

Site is Haraker church, a small countryside church in the middle of Sweden that serves a parish counting 250 souls, or thereabouts.

Our job was to compose, make and install a textile storage cabinet on the organ/choir balcony. The oldest mässhake (priest’s mantel) that will be housed in our cabinet is from the fourteenth century. The cabinet on the balcony will be used to house textiles for long term storage, we will also install a cabinet in the front of the church, the sacristy, for textiles worn regularly.

Here’s a snap of the altar area of the church from the balcony;

On the balcony, away from where the public has access, some great epitaphiums were hung on the walls, these are the kind of objets d’art that noblemen warriors commissioned back in the fighting days. Think you could do a good scan of any of these, Brady?

Back to our cabinet. Here’s a pic of the carcass/korpus during squaring, some drawers installed for weighting.

After everything is square and level, every drawer front is fine tuned. This being the humid season, we make the fit very tight.

The installed piece;

Closeup of the shaped crown moulding with emblem (shield of Church of Sweden), both cut on our PRS Alpha less than two weeks after delivery using only the supplied software and hardware (starter bit kit), Cinema 4D was used for design.

All in all, most of this cabinet was made before the PRS Alpha arrived, but for our next ones almost everything will (hopefully) be cut on the ‘bot. I‘ve done time studies and estimates, and I predict we will cut production time in half.

I like the cabinet. I bet that church looks magnificent on the inside!

Mark,

Thank you. Yes, the church is small and wayside but has a very rich interior, you can see just a small glimpse of it in my pics.

Brady,

Thank you, yes, I try, and I must say that so far the process from design->cam->machining has been very smooth.

This very forum has been an invaluable source for making this a reality, thanks to everyone.
