View Full Version : 1" Cherry Dovetailed cabinets

These were done in 5/4 solid cherry with dovetailed corners. Dovetailed corners on cabinet sides, top and bottom deck were cut with separate files using a 1/4" endmill. Slight sanding done on the tenons (fingers) to compensate for the inside radius caused by the bit on the mortised side. Sanded to 800 grit and then 2 coats of hand rubbed varnish. did you do these from a plan or just wing it.. after seeing the second picture I want to make one just like it.. I have a similair fireplace and need something to put the dvd vcr in ...

Customer's design. Yes I did just wing it, just like most of what I do. I don't know if that is good or bad. JR
