Dooes anyone have plans for a wood baseball display case with a glass front? I have tried the woodworking stores and looked on the internet with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Carroll

Give me a little more detail. I have plans for a flag display box, don't know if that is similar.

I am looking to make one that is rectangular and can hold about 8 baseballs. The center of the box will have a shelf with either dimples cut into it or holes to hold the baseballs in place.
The case will have a glass door made using some type of molding.
I can buy the cases online but I want to make several for my nephew.
My problem is I don't know what the spacing between the balls should be or what diameter I should make the dimples or cut the holes.
Thanks,
Carroll

Carroll,
I think with some balls (2 should be enough)you could design this yourself. If you decide yourself how far apart the balls should be to look good - both from each other and from the edges of the box - and you decide how far into the dimples the balls should sit, then you can answer yourself those design details you mentioned in the last paragraph.
I also think that once you have decided the overall dimensions, and if you could be happy with a sliding glass door(or perspex - safer and you can also make it yourself with the ShopBot), then you could get the plans for a "BoxMaker" box of that size, and make the following changes/additions.
1)Add a slot to hold the shelf on the 3 appropriate inside faces. This could be done separately after making the individual parts, or added in to the BoxMaker file(s) if you're confident adding the instructions to route the slots to the BoxMaker file(s).
2) If you're happy with a molding that is the same thickness as the box edges, then the "Extruder" could make this for you. You'd only need to make one file (for the longest strip) to run with the top edges of the box clamped vertically to the edge of the ShopBot table.
I haven't thought this through fully - a "BoxMaker" box is missing one top edge where you'd rather have molding (on the edge the door slides open). This is a little trickier to remedy. The opposite end IS complete (i.e. with the molding and the slot to receive the sliding door). Modify this to initially make as one part both the side of the box and the molding that will be attached to the sliding door - this modification is simply adding the thickness of the blade you'll then use to cut this part into the two separate parts (the side of the box and the molding that will be attached to the sliding door).
Almost "Voila". And aren't those interesting stepped corner joints strong? And aren't those sliding doors so much safer for cabinets that may be hung behind a door?
