Hi,
Just bought a Shopbot PRT96 and when I try to cut a file I keep getting "X axis beyond software table limits" error message.
Can somebody help me ?
Thank you in advance
Gerry

Also when I try to use my help file it is missing. I'm using the ShopBot Control Software ver.3.4.27 PRT.
Can somebody indicate how to get the help files for the software.
Thanks again

Gerard,
Look at your VL command to make sure that you've set your table limits greater than your actual table area. I have the 120X60 Alpha, but I've set the X-axis to -0.5 and 120.5, and the Y-axis to -0.5 and 60.5. Also, I've turned off the file limit checking (which I think is command SF). Be careful, File Limit Checking is your friend. Turn it off only when you're sure that the part you're cutting is within the hard boundaries of the machine.

You need to zero your table coordinates. Move your tool to it's x=0,y=0 location (usually bottom left cornet) and move bit to surface using keybord control (k). Once there zero table coordinates with ZT. You could also turn off limit checking with SF so that it will ignore table base coordinates for now.
Bill Youngs corner on the shopbot site has a good tutorial on table coordinates.
The help files should be in c:\program files\shopbot\shopbot3\help\. They should have installed with the software.
You need the adobe acrobat reader installed on your machine to view them.
