This is a sample panel for a Alder entry 2.25X60X96. The 4 panels per door will be slightly larger than this one.

This looks like its made of metal. Will yours be made of metal or wood?

I have been toying with some designs for doors and one thing i have been thinking about in the design process is rather then just applying a design to the face of the door and attaching it, is to carve a part of the door out so the design can be inlaid into it.
Will yours be attached to the face or carved into the door?

Beautiful work - as usual! I was just looking at Joe's Sculpt Nouveau post and this would be perfect for that finish!

Thanks for the comments. This sample is Spanish Cedar with a light coat of crystalac tinted a light blue. Hand sanded after the first coat to burn thru to original wood then clear coated...makes a nice rustic look. The actual panel will have a .5" x .625" tongue that rides in the stile/rail of the door frame
