Carbon Fiber Cutting on the BOT

Hey Guys...has anybody cut carbon fiber...bi directional plate 2.5" think.

I've only cut a little - be careful, you don't want to breath the dust.

Think it's Brady that has done quite a bit.

I cannot remember the fellows full name in Ohio...his first name is Loni I think, but I believe he milled carbon fiber props for military drones. I am sure someone remembers his name.

I've cut a decent amount of it. Prepare to spend good money on diamond tooling. Anything else leaves a jagged edge & will not hold up to the abrasiveness of carbon.

Contact these guys: http://www.obergbrothers.net/ & tell them I sent you. Tell them you are interested in diamond tooling. Generally speaking, you'll want a 1/2" 2-flute diamond coated end mill for the parts you listed. They can get a few different brands & at a good price.
