Hi all...

Why do I get vibration noise in the X and y direction at low feedrates???

Only below 1.5 ips...

Rails are all square, level and lubericated.

Nick,
All stepper motor resonate at certain (low) speeds. There is not much that can be done about it. Some stepper drivers (Gecko) have a trimpot that you can adjust, but it may not eliminate the vibration.

On my machine, when I need to cut slow, I air cut at several speeds to find one that is slow enough without excess vibration.
