I want to put some time into securing a reliable, convenient source for Trupan in Minneapolis. My favorite lumberyard is Youngblood Lumber in NE Minneapolis. They not only supply quite a bit of the hardwood lumber that large businesses use, but they are also friendly to smaller operations and retail. They also deliver. I'd love to be able purchase it from them, but I suspect there'll be a few hurdles to get them to carry it. Before I contact them, I'd like to get my ducks in a row. If you can help me, please respond to a couple of questions.

1. Who needs Trupan in Minneapolis? Are you a Youngblood's customer? Can you guess how many sheets you would like right away? Do you think you'd continue to buy Trupan?

2. Why Trupan? Why not "Rangerboard", which Youngblood carries? I know some of the answers, but I'm not as eloquent as some of you are. It would be nice to collect the answers in one location for the Youngblood's buyer to peruse.

Let's get the ball rolling and see where it leads us before we look at other alternatives. Thanks.

I just called Industrial Lumber and Plywood in Minneapolis. They are getting a load of Trupan in next week. You need to jump through some big hoops to buy from them. There are forms to fill out and it takes a couple of days to process your application. The price seems extremely high as well. 3/4" Light Weight Trupan, 4'x8' is going for $50.82. Like I said, this might not be a good source for most botters. I'd like to continue to work the Youngblood idea.

Wow! that's steep. Most prices I've seen here on the forum have qouted half that. I know I paid around $26.00 a sheet.
