im thinking of purchasing a shopbot for private 1 man use cutting state shapes and carving animal designs on said state shapes can anyone tell me if this item will work or what type of unit i need to purchase

If you've got time, I highly recommend the 2-day training class they offer at the factory in NC. I had already purchased a PRT alpha 96 before I went, but I was pretty much clueless on how to run it and to tell you the truth, I was a little intimidated by it.

When I left NC, I was very confident in my ability to operate the machine.

I would recommend a training corse... If you new and havn't done it. you will get a head ach.. its a lot to learn but after the first day you will be flying threw it.
