I promised Jack some images of a job where the basic deal is we take a set of existing chairs for a client, re-finish them and v-carve their "logo" in the chair.

I feel kinda silly posting these images since the whole thing is so straight-forward, but anyway:

1701

One specimen out of several hundred. A good basic chair that's in need of new finish.

1702

Testing placement etc of v-carve

1703

A re-finished chair in situ at the client's site.

1704

Close-up of the v-carve.

I guess I should have snapped a pic of the jig for doing the v-carve on the 'bot, but let me assure you it was the simplest of simple -- which is ok for a test like this but will need some work when we do hundreds at a time.

Henrik,
That is simple but real neat. Because it is a small logo you weren't having to deal with the curve of the chair in the cutting I had an idea you were making it on a curve. Simple and elegant, thanks for posting.
