How and where do you connect a vacuum gauge to see what the vac hold down is doing?
Any particular recommendation for a brand or type of gauge?
Thanks

John...
I put a fitting thru the bottom of the table into a groove of the plenum. Then I ran a 1/4" tube to the gauge. For most applications 0-15" Hg. will do but many are 0-30.

veneersupplies.com has some inexpensive guages. I use one i got at Harbor Frieght in a "test kit". It has a large dial.

Gary,
So the switch on your gauge controls the motor for each zone. Since you don't have any sound insulation, it must be very loud when you have all four zones running?
How long have you been using this system?
Thanks

Nils..
Yes..one for each zone. Fairly loud, not near as load as other equipment in the shop. But, At 30 ft, in some materials, with aggressive cutting the bit is louder. We have a full time woodworking shop, in a commercial area, for us noise is not an issue. We've been using is almost daily for 7 months.
