NY Yankee Medallion

At the new Yankee Stadium there is a beautiful carving of a Yankee medallion. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3636/3410285358_e5d9e18a98.jpg?v=0
I haven't been able to find any information on it. The medallion is about 6' in diameter.
I liked the medallion so much that I wanted to make one. I used Aspire to assemble the project. Some of the components I modeled and some were from prepared models. Obviously there is a bit of artistic license in my model.

Very cool. What material is that?

The material is MDF. I spray painted it grey and followed up with a coat of stone spray paint. The stone look is surprisingly good.

Good idea. I also found the stone and texture sprays a great way to hide the mdf fuzzies.
