Saw this at a garage sale for $4 and had to have one... FYI the slot is .44 wide and .55 deep

good idea. though with a lot of cds you loose about 1/2 the space if they touch each other. but I may have to make one.

I guess the space allows you to pull one out and the others stay put

what I mean is this rack is a great idea for smaller collections. but larger ones there is too much wasted space.

It's still a good way to impress your friends with a cheap and easy present that you can make on your machine. Add a little carving on the top and it would be a great present idea.

I agree it is a cool idea and I plan on trying it out. but it is not the solution to my wife's large cd collection.

Center to center of the grooves is .9

Not sure about your wife's large CD collection.

I hope you did not allow her more than four pairs of shoes in the house, that can take up a lot of space....

she is not a shoe person (G) but with over 400 cds she needs a compact rack.
