How do you change the diameter of a group of holes (or other vectors of like kind) without deleting them and starting all over? I'm using PartWorks.

You can resize them one at a time by FIRST selecting them then selecting the circle tool, then set a new radius or diameter. At least you dont have to enter the X Y center again.

I dont know any way to do lots of them at once, it is a HUGE deficiency in the program..

Hope that helps

Ray,
Try selecting all the holes that you want to resize then select the scale tool.
Just type in the new size of the hole.
Use the measure tool after to see if it is the size you want.

Another trick is once you have all the holes selected then pick move to layer and create a new layer (if there already not on a separate layer). THen you select that layer on the layer bar and right click in the drawing and choose select all vectors on current layer.
It will save you from hand picking each one again. It also make it easy to tool path.

Hope this helps

In Vcarve Pro, I select all the holes/circles and once highlighted, I group them, making sure the group of holes/circles are selected I then offset them to the diameter that I need, Then delete the original vectors

Sean:
Thanks for your reply. I can select the vectors and select the Move, Scale, Rotate Selection tool, it allows me to drag the selected vectors and change the size but the dimensions in the bottom right screen show the total dimensions and not just the size of the individual vector. I can't figure out where to type in the new dimensions and that's whats driving me nuts. It seems that this should be a simple task.??

Raymond,
Do what Don describes for VCarve Pro. I just tried it on an array of circles in Part Wixard and it works the same.

Thanks all for your responses:
I just changed the dia. of the hole/circle using the Scale Selected Vector button. I still had to change each one indvidually but at least I didn't have to start from scratch. I haven't even used my BT32 yet. I'm still hooking up the dust collection and I've designed a vacuum plenum and I was trying to get the dimensions right for the "countersink" circle around the bolt hole to accomodate the washer and bolt head. I haven't worked with offseting yet. Got a lot to learn!

Raymond,
Glad you got it to work.
If you hold down the shift key while you select the vectors you can select more then one at a time.

You are in for a lot of fun with your new Bt32. You will start looking at things a lot different. Instead of looking at something and appreciating it as a object you will start to look at everything as how can i make that.

this used to not work in vcarve you would end up with ovals. but it works now.
