Automation shmautomation... I've been sick for close to 3 weeks (though feeling a little better now) and that bot hasn't done much of any thing, it just sits there looking blue. I did manage to get the new bleeder installed and convinced it to surface it and cut a few things that I had to get done... but then I loaded a sheet of material on it and it still hasn't made a single cut.
I thought it was lonely so I gave it a radio to listen to, didn't help. Now, and get this, I go out there and it is consorting with the cat, it has her all curled up on the bed asleep!
So anyway, what do you do when your bot gets lonely and how do you get car hair out of Trupan?

Sorry to hear you've been down for the count but now you see the bot is not a emotionless robot but a dependant. Doesn't eat or sleep so it waits for you and now the cat for moral support and guidance.
Maybe the cat has adopted it or visa versa but you are still the creative and motivational leader so kick the cat off the table, get the compressor going and blow off the table, now get back to work. Both the bot and the cat need your leadership and direction.
And you thought you were able to escpe with no one missing you. WRONG!

Robert,
What's this about slacking off while sick? You're supposed to take 'sick days' when the weather is nice!
I go thru periods too where one of the Bots are dormant & when I go to use it again, it's like starting up an old car that you haven't driven in a while...except nothing leaks, no lifter tapping or that 'old car' smell. I find that when the machine is 'free', it's a great time to do R&D on different ideas, or get started on some holiday goodies etc...or actually make something for YOURSELF for a change!

I knew I could count on you guys for lack of sympathy ;-) I guess I was just being a slacker after all. But... I didn't want to possibly expose any bats to my illness... yeah, that's it.
I ran it a few hours today making bat house kits. I tossed the cat off and cleaned up the cat hair and got it going. You're right Brady, has that feel of starting an old car after sitting a while. It did great, I especially like my new table design with the registration tabs in it. I've not had too much use on it since installing it.
I did take some time to play with Vcarve and tinker a little. I also designed some book cases for my wife.
Who is YOURSELF, is he a good customer? Does he pay well? I don't think I've ever made anything for him before.

Robert .
WATCH OUT for yourself . Everytime i did work for him he has yet to pay anything... wait until you go to the shop one morning and have to make a call and have to wait untill the answer machine finishes talking to the fax. Thats when you question who's realy in charge? I thought about putting a camera in the shop so i can see what goes on at night but i think thats better unknown.. it might scare me.. Glad youre feeling better, or should i say batter ,,,,,sorry i couldnt resist..
