How do I create a "dogbone" in P.W.
Thanks Dave

The original PW did not have that capability, Aspire 2 does.. go to the aspire tutorial videos on vectric, one of the first ones shows how it is done.

I presume the new PW does the same thing, I don't have that, but its got a lot of commonality with Aspire-

If it does have it, it will be under the filet tool as one of the options other than a simple radius.

Should have put that in the original post! Duh..

PartWizard or PartWorks (which "P.W." ??) can create ANY 2D shape. You do not need Aspire, unless you need a 'dimensional' dogbone shape that rises & falls in the Z, much like a relief.

Are you looking to create a 3D relief of a dogbone, or a 2D cutout/inlay for joining parts together?

if you don't have the newest software make a circle just a tad larger then the bit place it on the corner how you want select the circle and the part and click weld selected vectors.

David...
IF you dont have version 5 of Vcarve (or the latest PartsWorks) Try this... make your rectangle with radiused corners where the radius is the same as the diameter of your bit. Go into node edit mode, select the handle in the center of the radiused corner and drag it outward at a 45 degree angle.
Heres a couple shots in and out of node editing mode:

My line of thinking would be to find a picture from artist then vector it in PartWorks. But lets say I had to draw this I would place a narrow rectangle the length needed then place 4 circles in corner then weld together.

On the newest version of PartWorks, on the fillet tool you get a normal, dog-bone, or t-bone fillet automatically. It's a very nice feature.

Thanks Jose- that was what I expected, I just don't have the current PW. I just predicted that Vectric would do things consistently.

Also Gary- that was a great solution also.
