To prymid or not tis the question

Im making my Plenum out of corian. And was wondering as I was playing with toolpaths if I could use a 90 deg 1.25" V bit and leave nice triangle tops or do I need to use some sort of straight cutter and leave the tops flat??

If it were me I would make them flat topped pyramids. Although in theory I suppose pointy tops would give better air flow. I made mine with a 1/2 round over bit and all of the grid with round instead of square areas.
