Is there a quick and easier way of adjusting the height of the dust skirt without using the allen wrenches to raise and lower the height?
I make custom signs, and use a lot of HDU that needs to have the skirt just right so it dosen't damage the sharp edges.
To adjust it every time is a real pain!
Has anyone come up with a quick way to redesign this thing?

1. Leave it off the machine. HDU is easy to vacuum up.

2. Make another mount for it to go on the other side of the Z axis tower in front of the router so that it is independent from the movement of the Z. Set the dust foot on the surface of the material and cut. This is how the original PRT dust foot was. This is easier to implement on a Pre-PRS tool.

John, I cut quite a bit of HDU. To controll dust I use an air diverter on my router. Mine is made from an old plastic coffee can lid. Works great...very little air borne dust. ShopBot sells one for the PC router.

I built a dust skirt from lexan with brushs from Mcmaster Carr which are avalable in different size brush from stiff to soft. I diverted the router blast into the slip stream of the dust collection and get very little airborne particle.I would upload a photo but I can't seem to make it small enough to suit the forum.
