What kind of file is this?

I have my software (type3)set up with what it lists as "Shopbot G-Code", I suppose this is supposed to be the post. It's exporting the file from the CAM module but when I try to run the file in the SB control program, a box pops up reading.... "command not currently supported (N1)ignoring" and it locks up the program. The files being generated by Type3 have the suffix "filename.U01" or .U02,.U03 etc.
Does this mean "unknown file" or something?

For as much as you paid (assuming retail) for Type3, your reseller should be able to write you a post or correct the one you have.
