Jumping code

Having a continued issue with longer cut files jumping code. Running an HDU sign today and again about 1 hour into the simple pocket cut i watch the machine lock/stop/pause and code kept running, then machine clears and its cutting the wrong line of code. Extremely aggravating. Have to stop the cut file and recenter everything and start over and pucker. Tired of spending extra hours to repair $800 hdu panels.
It seems random. Not happening in the same location on the machine so its not a mechanical issue. Running PRT Alpha 5x10. Running Shopbot supplied Acer Laptop with all credentials they recommended.
I reboot laptop everytime now before a long cut , clear all the cache. Doesn't seem to make a difference. Is there a patch or something I am missing?
