Default DXF FILE NEEDED - Iowa Hawkeye

Does anyone have a dxf of the Iowa Hawkeye logo? Looked all over and have had no such luck. As long as we are on the subject, what is the best way to convert a jpeg or bmp to a dxf? I have tried a few different free softwares but not really happy with the results. Thanks Josh

I just did this in partworks, using your image.

Is that what you are looking for?

you can post dxf files but the extension is renamed to UNK not a big deal as you can change it back as you save it or after..

Why would you want a DXF of a mascot that will lose to Iowa State in a few weeks ?

Yes, This is exactly what I was needing! I have tried Inkscape but looks like I need to go through the tutorials and work with it a little more. I will have to see if I can do Herky the Hawkeye myself. Thanks to all for the help! Josh

It looks like Partworks does a good job, just gave it a try on Herky. I tried to post the dxf but it is too large. Mitch what is the trick? Thanks, Josh

When you first convert the bitmap into vectors in partwork, it gives you a good amount of NODES with small line sigment..You can then convert it into splines with minimum number of nodes and it smoothen the curve as it is drawn by hand,,,
