    Default Where is tool db?

I create my .spb on laptop, and run my Buddy from another. I've enetered a new bit in the tool database of laptop, but how does that info get to the Buddy? The db is stored in a folder in PartWorks, right? But, I don't have partworks on the Buddy computer. I open .spb in edit, and see only the bit identified, not speeds, though.
    Help?

    Default tools db

Further, I've installed partsworks on the buddy computer, and copied the revised tools.tool_db file to both partworks and sb3 on the buddy computer.
The partworks program does not show the tool I created on my laptop.

    Denis...
The tool database is located in the C:\program files\(ShopBot\)Partworks\Tool Database folder. Mine is VCarve pro, so you may have to look a little for the proper path for Partworks or Aspire

Default found db in 2 places but...

Gary, thnx for you response. I've located it there, and also in SBedit and replaced them both. I've installed PW on my control computer but the new tool doesn't come up in it. So, i just entered it there too.
When I save my sbp, and view it in edit, it has a reference to the new tool, but is not running the spindle at the correct speed. Isn't the idea that it grabs the db info for settings to run?
Now, I'm even noticing a plunge reversal...plunging up. Also, it seems like the scale is off. I've made sure that my values for xy are neg (alpha buddy; I was told to change it), but I don't think I was told to do a neg sign in front of the z value. I think that was actually a command to select pos or neg plunge. Having a tough day.
    Thnx for any further help.

    Denis...
I cant help you with anything concerning the previewer as I dont use it.

Spindle speed: Are you using a postP that is the Alpha..... speed? The posts that have speed output usually say so in their name.

The scale and neg/pos issue sounds like unit values. Try going to the SB3 command [UR] and open the config setting for your machine specs and see if that helps.

    Gary and thnx again
I'm alpha, yes, but are you saying I have a postP choice? which is not something I know much about...
I have been assuming that the bit i.d. in the sbp file 'tells' sb3 what bit/speed to set for the run.
Plz pardon the newby approach; but I couldn't find this addressed in manuals....maybe I need to delay gratification and do more reading?
